Karate Pig Amigurumi Funny Toy PDF Pattern

Today, I’m here with a very interesting and fun design: a cute pig in a karate costume! Although the crochet pig is generally at a beginner level, preparing the karate costume may take a bit of your time. Also, the pig and the costume need to be compatible. If you’re skilled in this area, the costume will fit the pig’s body properly and you’ll be able to dress the piglet with ease. The crochet piglet is basically made using three different yarn colors.

The colors and types of yarn you’ll use while making the toy are shared in detail in the materials section. In addition to that, I’d like to mention a few changes you can make. If you wish, you can make dark pink cheeks for the piglet. You’ve probably seen similar designs like this before. Also, the fact that the karate costume is a wearable piece is really a great option.

The crochet piglet is made by combining 5 parts. Don’t forget to make a black belt for the pig in the karate costume. One detail you could change, in my opinion, is the belt. If you make this piece in pink tones, it could become a great toy for girls. Especially our little girls really love these types of toys.

Materials

• Weight (6) super bulky in white, light pink, dark pink, black.

• 18mm safety eyes

Important Note

Keep in mind when crocheting the clothes to use the same size hook that you use for the body, unless you are mixing yarns. Adjust hook as you see fit. Periodically put on the Karate outfit or Karate- Gi to check if your tension or hook size needs adjustment.

Another Important Note

To make an invisible FO for a cleaner look: slst after you complete the round. Cut the yarn, skip a stitch and thread the yarn through, then go through the back loop of the slst. Pull, but not too tightly. Weave in the tail.

We’re starting with the pig’s arms. We begin with a dark pink color and a magic ring. After crocheting for 2 rounds, we switch to a light pink shade. After increasing for 6 rounds, in the following rounds we only do single crochet. So, you don’t need to do any decreases. It’s recommended to stuff the piece up to round 9.

Let’s make the body and legs of the toy! First, we will crochet the pig’s legs. We start with a dark pink color. After starting with 8 single crochets and a magic ring, we’ll form the legs of the toy up to round 8. You’ll need to do this process for both legs. After that, we’ll move on to the body. By crocheting a total of 20 rounds, we’ll form the pig’s legs and body.

We’ll make the karate pig’s head using only light pink yarn. After starting with a magic ring, we’ll do increases for 4 rounds. From round 5 to round 10, we’ll continue with single crochet. After placing the eyes, we’ll do decreases up to round 13 to complete the head. Don’t forget to stuff the head while going through these steps.

The pig’s muzzle will be made with dark pink yarn. We’ll crochet this part of the toy in just 2 rounds. If you wish, you can stuff it slightly before sewing it onto the pig’s face.

The pig’s ears will be crocheted in 5 rounds, but there’s no need to stuff this part. After finishing the piece, you can sew it onto the pig’s head from any point you prefer.

The pig’s karate costume is made up of 3 pieces: pants, robe, and belt. You need to make these parts very carefully. By following the instructions completely, you can create this costume specially designed for the pig.
