Today I want to introduce you to the llama amigurumi toy with an unusual design. The llama amigurumi toy with a wonderful poncho was made with white yarn. However, we see that there are tassels on the tips of the llama’s ears. The nose and mouth of the toy were made simply using yarn. We can see that safety eyes were used in the llama’s eyes and the size of the safety eyes is 8mm.

The yarn colors and yarn brands used are clearly given in the materials section and this will make your job much easier. I want to share a photo of a test product with you to convince you more. You can find how the poncho is made in the video description section.

Crochet llama basically consists of 5 pieces and is accompanied by a poncho. We start the crochet toy by crocheting the legs first. Let’s get started.
LEGS (make two)
1. 6 sc in MR
2. 6 inc (12)
3. (1 sc, 1 inc) x6 (18)
4 to 8. 18 sc (18)
Fasten off only the first leg. After finishing the second leg, chain 3 and secure with 1 sc in the first stitch of row 8 of the first leg.
Now we will crochet the body by joining the legs of the toy. Although the toy has a very short body, it has a very long neck, just like a giraffe. You will need to crochet 20 rounds for this neck.
BODY
9. 18 sc in first leg, 3 sc in chain loop, 18 sc in second leg, 3 sc in chain loop (42)
10 to 16. 42 sc (42)
17. (5 sc, 1 dec) x6 (36)
18 and 19. 36 sc (36)

23. 24 sc (24)
24. (2 sc, 1 dec) x6 (18)

We continue where we left off and crochet the head of the toy. I hope the photos will help you with how to make the head.

56. 22 sc in the back and in the front make, 1 sc, 6 dec, 1 sc (30)

You can use the photo to create this facial expression of the toy, which has a cute facial expression, or you can create your own facial expression. The llama’s arms have a very thin structure and are crocheted in 14 rounds.
ARMS (make two)
1. 6 sc in MR
2. 6 inc (12)
3 to 14. 12 sc (12)
Close the opening with 6 sc. Leave a long tail for sewing.
Sew between rows 22 and 23 on the sides of the body.
After crocheting the arms of the toy, you need to sew them to the body between rounds 23 and 23. After completing this process, we can make the tail of the toy.
TAIL
1. 5 sc in MR
2. 5 inc (10)
3 to 7. 10 sc (10)
Leave a long tail for sewing. Sew between rows 14 and 15, centered on the back of the llama and sew the tail with a small stitch on row 17.
After crocheting the tiny tail of the crocheted toy, it will be enough to sew it in the middle of rounds 14 and 15. The photos will help you how to sew the tail. Finally, we crochet Llama’s tiny ears and only the poncho remains.
EARS (make two)
1. 5 sc in MR
2. (1 sc, 1 inc) x2, 1 sc (7)
3. (1 sc, 1 inc) x3, 1 sc (10)

5 and 6. 12 sc (12)

Leave a long tail for sewing.
Sew between rows 2 and 6 at the top of the head.
Separate three pieces of yarn in different colors and tie at the top of the ear.
For Poncho
Although the instructions in the video are in Portuguese, you can find free information on how to make this type of poncho from different sources. However, someone who has made enough crochet toys will easily understand how to make a poncho. I hope you liked the Llama toy and had fun making it.
