Although the amigurumi bear is called a polar bear, you can turn it into a brown bear if you wish, as you can see in the photo, using brown yarn. The crocheted bear is designed as a keychain. It will be enough to sew the key ring from the top of the toy’s head. It is recommended to use chenille yarn when making the crocheted bear, but the yarn brand is not specified.
Keychain Polar Teddy Bear Crochet Pattern
It is recommended to use a 4.5 mm crochet hook in making the toy, and you create the polar bear’s eyes using 8 mm safety eyes. It will be enough to use felt for the pink cheeks of the toy.
Designer: pengurumicrafts
Materials:
• Yarn colors of your choice. Chenille yarn 4.5 mm in colors of your choice. I used white and brown.
• Scrap yarn for details in color black.
• Hook size: 4.5 mm (you might need to adjust your hook size depending on the size of yarn you are using)
• Tapestry needle
• Stuffing
• Felt paper in color pink.
• Scissors
• 2 pairs of 8mm safety eye.
• Stitch markers.
Pattern Notes!
• Read the whole pattern before making the amigurumi to get an idea of what you will crochet.
• The finished project size is approximately +/- 10.16 (4 Inches) if you used the same hook size and yarn size as stated in the materials. • The pattern is written in US terminology.
• We will be using the same pattern with the bear and polar bear. Use brown yarn for bear and white yarn for polar bear.

Although the crochet keychain teddy bear will be formed by combining many pieces, you need to crochet the head and body of the teddy bear as a single piece. Also, this piece you crochet will be the largest and most noticeable part of the toy. That’s why I recommend that you devote yourself to your work carefully. If you’re ready, let’s get started.
Head to Body
Use brown yarn for bear and white yarn for polar bear.

Cut the yarn and fasten off. Close the hole using the front loops.
In the photos you can only see the brown design of the bear. But don’t forget that you can choose different colors. Now we will crochet the arms of the toy and we need to sew the arms of the bear to its body.
Arms
Use brown yarn for bear and white yarn for polar bear.
R1: 4 Sc in MR (4)
R2 R4: 4 Sc all around (3 rounds) (4)
Cut the yarn and fasten off. Leave a long tail for sewing. Sew the arms at R11 & R12 of the body.
After sewing the bear’s arms to its body, we need to make the legs of the toy clearly. Since the bear is made in a sitting position, the arms and legs of the crocheted toy may look a little small. But please remember that this is a keychain.

Use brown yarn for bear and white yarn for polar bear.
R1: 8 Sc in MR (8)

Now it’s time for the teddy bear’s tiny ears. Making crochet ears is quite easy, but you need to know the half double crochet technique. If you’re ready, let’s make the ears of the toy.
Ears
Use brown yarn for bear and white yarn for polar bear. Make a slip knot on your hook. Insert it at the top of the head between R3 & R4 then do: sl st. 6 hdc, sl st.
Cut the yarn and fasten off. Do the same on the other side.
Now we need to make the snout of the crocheted little bear. After that, your crocheting process will be completed.
Snout
Use brown yarn for bear and white yarn for polar bear.
R1: Ch 3. from the second chain do: 1 Sc. 3 Sc on the same st. 1 Inc (6)
R2: (1 Sc. 1 Inc) x 3 (9)
Cut the yarn and fasten off. Sew the snout at R7 & R8. between the eyes. Embroider nose using black yarn.
The amigurumi bear crocheting process is complete. Now you can put all the pieces together and sew them. But we’re not done yet. How about giving the toy a little makeover? Let’s take a look at how it’s done.
Blush
Using pink felt. cut 2 circles. 15 mm wide and 15 mm tall.
Glue the blush on the cheeks.
Congratulations! Your bear keychain is ready!
I love his bear and have been looking for a pattern. I am not understanding how to do the legs. When crocheting the legs you go back and forth for the 3 rows in the twelve stitches or do you go back to stitch one and start again. So when do you stuff this bear
