I would like to introduce you to the plush amigurumi toy pattern designed by Crochetbyghosts today. The toy is made using Super Bulky yarn, and it is recommended to use a 6mm crochet hook. The toy has a very detailed material list, but I don’t think you’ll have trouble making it. Maybe it’s easy for me because I’ve been making amigurumi toys for years. If that’s the case, please excuse me. You can find easier amigurumi patterns on my blog.
Handmade Amigurumi Goose with Big Legs and Wings
The goose amigurumi toy consists of three main parts. First, you need to crochet the beak and head of the goose. Then, you’ll crochet the goose’s legs and wings. If you’re ready, let’s take a look at this pattern and get started.
Designer: crochetbyghosts
Materials
– Super Bulky (6) weight yarn. I use Bernat Blanket yarn in Vintage White and School Bus Yellow
– Medium / Worsted (4) weight yarn in dark brown (for nostrils)
– 6 mm (size J) crochet hook
– 10 mm safety eyes
– Scissors, yarn needle, stung, stitch marker
The nished object measures 37 cm from beak to foot and 21 cm from wing to wing.
Abbreviations (US Terminology)
– ch – chain
– sc – single crochet
– st – stitch
– sl st – slip stitch
– inc – increase by working two single crochets in the same stitch
– dec – decrease by single crocheting two stitches together (I recommend using invisible decrease)
– bo – 3 double crochet bobble stitch (In a normal bobble stitch, you start four double crochets into the same stitch. Instead of this, start three only.)
– FLO – insert hook into the front loop of stitch only
For the amigurumi goose, we will start by crocheting its head and body. Begin with a standard foundation using yellow yarn, and after crocheting the beak for 4 rounds, switch to white yarn. After this step, we will crochet the head of the toy. Continue crocheting the head until round 11, and once done, you can stuff the head of the adorable goose amigurumi. Then, you will continue by crocheting the body. The body is worked up to round 33 using increases and decreases, and during this process, you can stuff the body.

Are you ready to make the toy’s legs? We will need to make two legs, and each leg is crocheted for 15 rounds. Start with yellow yarn for the legs, but make sure to emphasize the toes at the foot. After 12 rounds, you’ll need to change the yarn color and continue with white yarn. Afterward, you can sew the legs onto the body according to the instructions.
LEG
Begin with yellow yarn.
R1: sc 4 in a magic ring (4)
R2: inc in each stitch around (8)
R3: (bo, inc, sc 1, inc) 2 times (12)
R4: sc in each stitch around (12)

R13: In FLO, (inc, sc 1, inc) 2 times (10)
Sl st into the rst white stitch and continue in the round.
R14-15: sc in each stitch around (10)
Do not stuff the leg. We are going to sl st the leg close before sewing. Before we begin, sc 2 (or adjust accordingly) to shift the hook so that it is at the side of the leg. Slip your hook into the front loop of the next stitch as well as the front loop of the third-last stitch you made:
Make a sl st. Continue to sl st top and bottom stitches together 3 more times until the wing is closed. Fasten o and leave a long tail for sewing.
Finally, we will crochet the wings for the cute goose amigurumi. Use white yarn to crochet the wings for 7 rounds, and then sew them onto the body as instructed. After completing these steps, your toy will be ready! As an additional note, the instructions for how the toy’s parts are assembled can be found at the very end of the pattern. I recommend checking it out.
WING
Use white yarn.
R1: sc 5 in magic ring (5)
R2: inc in each stitch around (10)
R3: sc in each stitch around (10)
R4: (inc, sc 4) 2 times (12)
R5-6: sc in each stitch around (12)
R7: (dec, sc 4) 2 times, sl st into the next stitch, do not fasten o (10)
Do not stuff the wing. Similar to the legs, we are going to sl st the wing close before sewing. Slip your hook into the front loop of the next stitch as well as the front loop of the third-last stitch you made. Make a sl st. Continue to sl st top and bottom stitches together 3 more times until the wing is closed.
Fasten o and leave a long tail for sewing. We are almost done!
ASSEMBLY
